Phan Thiet - Among the choices for MICE tourism
Phan Thiet City is about 200km away from Ho Chi Minh City to the northeast. This place is famous for recreation, exploration and vacation with beautiful, unspoilt beaches, fishing villages, and stunning sand dunes as well as hundreds of comfortable seaside resorts and hotels. Urban infrastructure and a series of inter-regional transport routes have been invested and improved to increase connectivity, expand trade opportunities with major cities in the country. Phan Thiet City is considered to have great potential and is eligible to develop MICE tourism.

According to statistics of a number of major travel agencies in Vietnam, there are many MICE tourist groups have scheduled in August to the "hot" destinations including Phan Thiet and other beach cities such as Da Nang, Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh Province), Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa Province), Phu Quoc (Kien Giang Province), Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), etc. MICE tourism accounts for 60-70% of the total number of visitors of Vietnamese travel companies and currently the tours combined with the events are hot growth in this summer tourist season.
According to informing from Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the strategy of tourism development to 2030 identifies the tourism of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) is one of important product types to be interested in development.
Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan converges many advantages to become a MICE travel hub of Southeast Asia. Currently, Binh Thuan tourism industry coordinates to organise the launching ceremony of the contest "Vietnam aspiration: Making Phan Thiet the world's leading MICE and Well tourism destination in 2045".
