The Moffatts visit Sa Pa, Phu Quoc, HCMC

Members of the Canadian pop/rock country band The Moffatts visited Sa Pa in the northern highlands, Phu Quoc Island in the south and walked along HCMC's Bui Vien Street.
The Moffatts, one of the most beloved boybands the 1990s and 2000s, performed at the HAY Glamping Music Festival in Hanoi last Saturday night. Thousands of fans stood in the rain for hours to cheer their idols.

Bob and Clint, two members of the boyband, visited Sa Pa, around 320 kilometers from Hanoi, earlier this month and shot a music video there to promote tourism.

They stayed at the Ville de Mont Mountain Resort, which stands 1,500 meters above sea level overlooking the Muong Hoa Valley and Ham Rong Mountain.

Bob posted a photo of terraced rice fields on his Instagram account. The rice fields have become a major tourist attraction in the northern highlands.

On Sunday, Dave, another member of the boyband, posted on his Instagram account a video of himself walking along HCMC's Bui Vien Street, once famous as a backpacker haunt, but now equally popular with locals. The street is dotted with bars, restaurants and karaoke parlors that operate until late.

The Moffatts were first scheduled to perform with the U.K.'s A1 and 911 bands at the "Touch your heart" music show in HCMC Sunday night. However, The Moffatts and A1 canceled their performances at the last minute, citing health problems due to the inclement weather.

On Monday, Dave posting a photo himself enjoying dishes at a restaurant in the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa on Phu Quoc Island off the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.

The four-member band plans to visit UNESCO heritage site Ha Long Bay, Da Nang and Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bang Province on the border with China to shoot videos for promoting tourism.

The Moffatts said: "Vietnam is a very beautiful country. We have come here to perform and have had great experiences with delicious food and friendly people.

"We want to become tourists and promote Vietnam's beauty through our journey."

Formed in 1990 the band comprises brothers Scott, Clint, Bob and Dave Moffatt. Their YouTube channel has nearly 3.9 million followers. The band had performed in HCMC in 1999.
