Vietnam - India direct flights raise the number of international visitors to two countries

The direct flight Vietnam - India will give a huge contribution to the trade, cultural and social connections between the two countries. Flights from and between Ha Noi and New Delhi will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday weekly; flights from and between Ho Chi Minh City and New Delhi will operate on Thursday and Saturday weekly. Flights are operated by wide-body, modern, new-generation Boeing 787 or Airbus A350 aircrafts.

India is a potential tourism market and one of Vietnam's leading trading partners, while Vietnam is also the 15th largest trading partner of India and the 4th among Southeast Asian countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1972, the comprehensive strategic and strategic partnership signed between the two sides (in 2007 and 2016) have brought two-way trade to an average growth of 20% per year.

India has a long-standing traditional culture with many world cultural heritages and rich natural landscapes. Famous destinations in India such as Bodhgaya, Lotus temple, Taj Mahal, wind palace, Dal lake... have attracted a large number of religious followers as well as tourists from all over the world..

In the pre-pandemic period, in 2019, the total of visitors travelled from and between Vietnam and India reached 319,000 arrivals, growing by 35% compared to 2018.

On the occasion of the launching of new flights from Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City to New Delhi Capital (India) from 15th June 2022, Vietnam Airlines will offer a favourable price from USD$300/rounded trip (equivalent to about VND6.93 million including taxes and fees). Especially, super preferential price from only USD$169 including taxes and fees (approximately VND3.9 million) for the first passengers to experience the new route Ha Noi - New Delhi from now until 20th June 2022 and the Ho Chi Minh - New Delhi route on 18th June 2022.
