Golden season in Sapa

The photo above was taken by Mr. Duong Quoc Hieu (29 years old), a photographer living and working in Sa Pa, in Y Linh Ho village, Muong Hoa commune. The first sunlight of the day penetrates the fog and clouds, creating a picture-like glow on the terraced fields.

 

From mid-August to early September every year is considered the most beautiful time of Sa Pa, the town is located at an altitude of 1,600 m above sea level. At this time, the terraced fields winding on the hillside in Muong Hoa commune, Lao Chai – Ta Van village begin to ripen. Every year, this is also the time when many tourists flock to Sapa because the weather is cool, it is high and there is light sunshine.

Peaceful houses in the middle of terraced fields. Y Linh Ho village is located about 3 km from Lao Chai village at the foot of the slope. This place is embraced by the magnificent Hoang Lien Son mountain range, is the living place of the H’Mong and Dao communities.

Coming to Y Linh Ho, visitors will capture the sight of thousands of terraced fields, cornfields, interspersed with murmuring streams. In particular, this place is not as bustling as in the city center, which is an ideal place for tourists to relax and learn about local culture.

The author shared, of all the areas with terraced fields in Sa Pa, his favorite is Y Linh Ho, because of its wild beauty. “Standing in front of the majestic nature, I feel small. I hope the photo series can share the beautiful scenery and partly the feeling of happiness and freedom between nature to tourists when the epidemic is stressful in many places. side,” he said.

 

To make the set of photos, the author came to the version many times, mainly at dawn and dusk. He said he had to go 1-2 hours in advance to find a place with few people to take pictures and when the light was at its best, the rice had not yet been harvested.
